I love to dance. And now, I am a dancer :)

I've always loved to dance! From age 10-18 I was part of the St. Johns Catholic Club Tamburitzans. I played an instrument called a prim - similar to a mandolin - and performed in a concert each year. When I was 13, our group spent 3 weeks in Croatia singing and dancing kolos in many cities. I also love country dancing! Dancing makes me happy!

A few years ago, we added "I am a dancer" socks to our line of notes to self® socks. I love the idea of affirming what you want to be.

And in the past few weeks, I became a dancer again. Actually I'm learning to be a dancer again! I'm practicing a dance routine to perform at a fundraising event on Saturday, April 27, 2024 to benefit Cristo Rey High School in Kansas City, Missouri.

I believe in this school and their mission so much. I was introduced to this organization when my daughter, Elaine, worked in a volunteer position at Cristo Rey in New York City during her first 2 years after college. The work-study program that the high-school students participate in one day a week is an important part of their education. The students come from less fortunate backgrounds, 100% are on scholarship and 100% go on to college.

Here's a link, if you'd like to learn more about the event or vote with a donation or by sponsoring or attending: https://bnte.us/sc/qGdMynS4

I'm looking forward to dancing and supporting this awesome school.
